At the beginning of the new year, a
large-scale open-pit coal stripping project in Xinjiang has officially
commenced, with Shantui deploying a full lineup of high-end mining equipment to
support construction. Multiple machines were mobilized simultaneously, forming
an integrated solution that injects strong momentum into local energy
development.
As one of China’s key energy bases,
Xinjiang holds strategic importance for national energy security. The project
covers an area of 9.22 square kilometers, with a first-phase capacity of 4
million tons per year. However, harsh natural conditions—including extreme
winter temperatures, strong winds, and high-intensity continuous
operations—pose severe challenges to equipment reliability and durability.
Leveraging proven product performance and a comprehensive service system,
Shantui earned customer trust and became the core equipment supplier for the
project.
For loading operations, the L55-G and
L68K-G mining wheel loaders work in tandem. The L55-G, powered by a high-output
Stage IV engine, achieves productivity of up to 280 m³ per hour, while the
L68K-G offers a 6.8-ton rated load with an intelligent hydraulic system
balancing precision and fuel efficiency.
Material transportation is handled by
SK105-G and SK120-G wide-body dump trucks, optimized for mid-range flexibility
and long-haul heavy-duty tasks respectively, maintaining up to 95% availability
even in extreme cold. Road construction and leveling are ensured by the SG27-G
motor grader, which delivers reliable performance and over 90% uptime in sub-zero
conditions, safeguarding smooth mine operations.
