a new round of cold wave, the operation challenge of excavators in cold winter
has become increasingly prominent. In the cold environment, the density of
diesel becomes larger, viscosity increases, and mobility becomes worse, which
will not only lead to diesel is not easy to spray, poor atomization, but also
cause incomplete combustion, and then increase fuel consumption, reduce
efficiency, seriously affect the power and economy of diesel engine.
To cope with this challenge, light diesel
oil should be selected for excavators in winter because of its low freezing
point and good ignition performance, which can better adapt to cold weather.
Generally, the freezing point of diesel oil should be about 10 ° C lower than
the local minimum temperature of the current season. Therefore, in the northern
region, excavators may need to use No. 0 diesel oil or even No. -30 diesel oil.
In addition to choosing the right diesel
oil, excavators also need to pay attention to the choice of oil and grease in
winter. As the temperature decreases, the viscosity of the oil increases and
the fluidity becomes worse, which will lead to the rotation resistance of the
crankshaft, the wear of the piston and cylinder liner increases, and then cause
the difficulty of starting the diesel engine. Therefore, the excavator
operating in the north of our country and the plateau and alpine areas should
replace the oil with higher label in winter. In the choice of grease, the
winter should choose small viscosity, thinner grease, to ensure the normal
operation of the equipment.
In addition, the excavator also needs to
pay attention to the problem of water replying in winter. Before entering
winter, the engine cooling water should be replaced with coolant with a lower
freezing point, and the cooling water in the engine should be emptied during
shutdown to prevent ice expansion and cracking of the body. At the same time,
after the diesel engine starts and fires, do not immediately let the excavator
put into load operation. It should idle for 3-5 minutes first. When the speed
of the engine increases and the temperature of the cooling water reaches more
than 60 ° C, then put into load operation.
Finally, whether it is winter construction
or winter repair, it is necessary to pay attention to the insulation of key
components of the excavator. For example, blocking the wind with the plate
curtain in front of the radiator, turning the switch to the low temperature
gear in winter, and parking the excavator in the garage and other indoor places
are effective thermal insulation measures.
In summary, the operation of excavators in cold weather requires special attention to the selection of appropriate fuel oil, oil and grease, as well as attention to water replilling issues and heat preservation of key components.
